How do I export my customers’ wishlist data?

Wishlist Hero exports your wishlist data as CSV from three report pages, delivered by email to your store owner address. This guide covers each export, what the file contains, and how to get a single customer’s data on request.

The three exports

Export Where Contains
Customers Customers > Export to CSV Each customer with list size and last wishlist activity, respecting your filters
Products Most wishlisted > Export to CSV Products ranked by wishlist count for your date range
Activity Activity > Export to CSV The filtered action log: who did what, when, on which product

Every export respects the filters you set on the page before clicking. See the individual guides: View customer wishlists, Top wishlisted products, Activity feed.

How delivery works

  1. Set your filters on the report page.
  2. Click Export to CSV.
  3. The CSV arrives by email at your store owner address. The subject names the export type and your store.

One export runs at a time per store; if you click again while one is running, the page tells you to wait. Exports are on demand: there is no schedule, so click whenever you need a fresh file.

A single customer’s data

For a data request from one shopper, use Customers: open their list via View Wishlist, or export the customers report filtered to them. Shopify’s own GDPR process also covers this: a customer data request you approve in Shopify sends you the customer’s wishlist and activity as CSVs by email. See How wishlists persist for deletion behavior.

What exports are not for

  • Migrating into Wishlist Hero: there is no import yet. Wishlist Hero cannot ingest wishlists from another app at the moment.
  • Scheduled backups: exports are manual; if you need regular files, set a reminder to export monthly.
