What are Wishlist Hero’s app embeds?
Wishlist Hero adds five blocks to your theme. Three are app embeds that run on every page:
App Configuration, Collections Icon, and Custom colors and fonts.
Two are blocks you place inside sections: Wishlist Header Icon in the header, and Add To Wishlist button on the product page. This page lists what each block does and links to a reference for every setting inside them.
An app embed is a block an app adds to your theme that renders on every page without you placing it. You switch app embeds on or off. Section blocks only render where you place them in the theme editor.

Where to find each block
The three app embeds live in the theme editor:
- Open Online Store > Themes and click Customize.
- Click App embeds in the left sidebar.
- Toggle a block on, adjust its settings, and click Save.
The two section blocks are added inside their sections:
- Wishlist Header Icon: open the header section, click Add block, and choose it
- Add To Wishlist button: open a product section, click Add block, and choose it. The block is available on product templates only
Which blocks do you need?
- App Configuration: required. The app doesn’t load without it
- Wishlist Header Icon: recommended. It’s the standard launch point shoppers use to open the wishlist
- Collections Icon: recommended. A visible save icon on every card raises wishlist adds
- Add To Wishlist button: optional. Use it to place the product button manually, and turn on Disable automatic product button placement in App Configuration so the button doesn’t appear twice
- Custom colors and fonts: optional. Use it when the app’s own color settings don’t match this theme
Theme presets
App Configuration, Wishlist Header Icon, and Collections Icon each include a theme preset setting. The app detects your published theme name automatically; pick a preset only when detection gets it wrong. Each block’s preset affects that block only. See Theme presets.
