What launch points open the wishlist?
A launch point is any control that opens the wishlist: the floating button, the header icon, or a menu link. This page documents each one and where to configure it. Shoppers use these entry points constantly, so most stores enable at least two.
Floating button
The floating launcher is a round button pinned to a corner of every page with a badge showing the number of saved items.
Configure it in Customize Wishlist Appearance, in the launch point section:
- On or off
- Position: bottom right (default), bottom left, right edge, or left edge
The badge count updates as shoppers add and remove items.
Header icon
The header icon sits in your store header and shows the items count bubble next to your cart icon.
Install it as the Wishlist Header Icon theme block:
- Open Online Store > Themes and click Customize.
- In the header section, click Add block and choose Wishlist Header Icon.
- Position it among your header items and adjust its color and size in the block settings.
- Click Save.

Menu link
Add “Wishlist” to your main menu or footer with the #hero-wishlist anchor, which opens the popup, or link the wishlist page path for the page mode. Step by step: Link the wishlist.
The button on product and collection pages
Product page buttons and collection card icons are entry points for saving, not for viewing the list. They are configured separately:
- Product button: Button settings
- Collection icon: Collection page wishlist icon
Which launch points should you enable?
- Header icon: the standard, always visible entry point. Enable on nearly every store.
- Floating button: strongest on mobile, where headers are crowded.
- Menu link: a discoverable fallback for shoppers who look for a “Wishlist” label.
All three can run at once; they open the same wishlist.
