Can I change the wishlist page URL?
Your wishlist page and shared wishlist links use paths managed by Wishlist Hero on your store’s domain. This article explains what these paths are, what you can do with them, and their current limitations.
In short: You can’t rename these paths, but you can link to them from anywhere on your store.
The paths
| Page | Path |
|---|---|
| Wishlist page | /a/wishlist-hero/wishlist |
| Shared wishlist | /a/wishlist-hero/wishlist/shared/your_wishlist_hash |
The /a/wishlist-hero/ prefix is the Shopify app proxy: requests go to your domain and are served by Wishlist Hero. Shoppers see your domain and theme styling throughout.
What you can do with the paths
- Link from menus: add a menu item with the full path or the
#hero-wishlistanchor. See Link the wishlist. - Link from campaigns: use
https://your-store.com/a/wishlist-hero/wishlistin emails, bios, and packaging inserts. - Keep them stable: the paths do not change when you switch themes or plans.
What you cannot do
- Rename the path or serve the wishlist from a custom URL such as
/wishlist. The proxy path is fixed by the app. - Point your own page template at the wishlist content. The page is rendered by the app, inside your theme’s layout.
If a custom path matters for your store, contact support: it is a common request and worth registering.
Sharing links are separate
Share links include the wishlist hash and open a read only view of one shopper’s list. They are generated per wishlist and explained in Wishlist sharing.
