How do shoppers share their wishlist?
Sharing turns one shopper’s wishlist into traffic: gift buyers, partners, and friends open the list and buy from your store. This guide covers the share popup, the share by email flow, and the merchant settings that control both. Configure everything under Settings > Share Wishlist via Email/Social Media.
Turn sharing on and pick networks
The master toggle is Enable users to share their Wishlist contents via social media or email. Below it, Select which social networks to display in the share popup lets you keep the networks that fit your audience and hide the rest.
Available networks include:
- X (Twitter)
- Telegram
- Viber, Line, Tumblr, VK, and more
What shoppers see
Shoppers open the share icon in their wishlist and get a popup with two tabs:
- Social: one tap posts or opens the chosen network with the wishlist link
- Email: a form to send the list to up to three email addresses
The share email uses your store’s template and sends from the app so deliverability stays intact. The shopper’s own address is set as reply to, so replies reach the sender.
Customize the share email
The share email template is editable in the share settings, like the reminder templates:
- Subject: for example “Wishlist from {name}”
- Body: rich text with placeholders the app fills in:
| Placeholder | Fills with |
|---|---|
| The sender’s name | The shopper who shares |
| The personal message | What the shopper typed |
| The wishlist link | The private share URL |
Use Send test email to preview the result in your inbox and Reset email body to return to the default template. Placeholder details: Email dynamic variables.
The private share link
Every wishlist has a link of the form https://your-store.com/a/wishlist-hero/wishlist/shared/your_wishlist_hash . Anyone with the link can view that list, and products link straight to your product pages. Treat the link like a secret URL: whoever has it can see the list, and there is no password option.
Sharing and tracking
When a shopper shares by email, the app records a share event. If you use Klaviyo or Omnisend as your email provider, the same event lands in your platform as the share trigger, so you can follow up. See Choose your email service provider.
