Which wishlist display modes are available?
Wishlist Hero shows the wishlist in two display modes: a popup window and a separate page. This reference explains each mode, how to switch, and how the mode interacts with your launch points and menu links. Set the mode in Customize Wishlist Appearance under Display the Wishlist module as.
Popup window (default)
The wishlist opens in a popup over whatever page the shopper is on. The shopper never leaves the product they were viewing.
- Size: Regular, Larger, or Extra Large
- Contents: the full wishlist grid with Add All to Cart and Remove All
- Exit: the shopper closes it and continues shopping in place
The popup is the low friction default: adding and reviewing items happens without page loads.
Separate page
Launch points open the dedicated wishlist page instead of a popup. The page has its own URL under your store’s app proxy, so you can link it from menus, emails, and campaigns.
- The page shows the same grid and actions as the popup
- Shoppers can bookmark and reload it
- The URL is app managed and cannot be renamed: see Wishlist page URL
Choose the mode
In Customize Wishlist Appearance, find Display the Wishlist module as and select:
- Pop up window with the size you want
- Separate page
Save, then test from a launch point on your storefront. Changing modes never affects saved items.
How modes interact with launch points
| Launch point | Popup mode | Page mode |
|---|---|---|
| Header icon | Opens the popup | Opens the page |
| Floating button | Opens the popup | Opens the page |
Menu link #hero-wishlist |
Opens the popup | Opens the popup over the current page |
| Wishlist page URL | Opens the page | Opens the page |
If you run the page mode, add the page to your navigation so the wishlist stays reachable. See Link the wishlist.
