How do I change my Wishlist Hero plan?
You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from the Plan page in the app. Upgrades take effect immediately and lift feature gates and quotas at once. Downgrades apply through Shopify billing and switch off the features your new plan does not include. This guide walks through both directions and what to check before each.
Change your plan
- In the Wishlist Hero app, open Plan in the navigation.
- Find the plan you want and follow its select action.
- Approve the change in the Shopify billing screen that opens.
Shopify manages the charge: upgrades are billed with Shopify’s proration rules, and the app charge appears on your Shopify bill as “Wishlist Hero” with the plan name.
After upgrading
Immediately and automatically:
- The new quota applies; if your store was paused at the old limit, the widget resumes at once
- Plan gated features switch on: reminders, pixels, SDK, REST API, external providers, depending on the plan
- The dashboard meter resets its warning colors against the new quota
After downgrading
The new plan applies at the next billing point through Shopify. When it takes effect:
- Features above the new plan switch off, and their settings screens show upgrade prompts
- Custom branding reverts if you drop below the plan that includes it
- If your last month’s usage exceeds the new quota, the store pauses at the limit until usage fits; the app emails you an “ACTION NEEDED” notice with a review link
Before downgrading, check your last full month of Wishlist additions on the dashboard and pick a plan with headroom above it.
Cancelling
Removing the app from your Shopify admin ends billing. Your wishlist data is kept, so reinstalling later picks up where you left off. See How wishlists persist.
