Can I import wishlists from another app?
Import brings wishlist data from another wishlist app into Wishlist Hero: switching apps stops meaning starting over. Your customers keep their saved items, and the intent data you already paid for survives the move.
Why it matters
- No lost demand: wishlists represent recorded purchase intent; an app switch without import deletes it
- No shopper backlash: shoppers who find their list empty after your migration blame the store, not the old app
- Day one value: imported lists feed reports and reminders from the first day instead of rebuilding over months
The planned flow
- Export from your previous app. Most wishlist apps export CSV; check their settings or help section. Support can guide you if the export is not obvious.
- Ensure the following fields exist : Product Handle / SKU / ID , Shopify Customer ID / Customer Email , Product Variant Id (Optional) , Added on date (Optional), Price on Addition (Optional)
- Send us the export when received our team will confirm the file is valid, import and let you know shortly once done sharing a summary of imported data.
- Confirm. Once the summary looks right, confirm and wait for completion.
CSV requirements
The file needs enough information to match items to shoppers:

At least one identifier from each pair must be present.
Data safety
- Your store stays fully live during the import
- Nothing existing is overwritten: the import only adds
- The summary review happens before anything is committed
What gets imported
- Customer email addresses
- Wishlist items with their product references
After import
Shoppers see their saved items exactly as before. Imported items become reminder eligible from day one: the existing price drop and low stock alerts apply to them like any other saves.
