How do I install Wishlist Hero on multiple themes?

Wishlist Hero settings are store wide, but the storefront code is per theme. This guide shows you how to prepare a draft or alternative theme, how to move the setup when you publish a new theme, and what to do when the new theme needs manual placement.

Enable the embed on each theme

App embeds activate per theme. On every theme you want the wishlist on:

1. Open Online Store > Themes, find the theme, and click Customize.
2. Click the App embeds icon and switch on Wishlist Hero > App Configuration.
3. Add the blocks you need: Add To Wishlist Button, Wishlist Header Icon, Collections Icon, Custom Colors and Fonts.
4. Click Save.

Prepare a theme before publishing

When you are rebuilding a theme and do not want shoppers to see a half configured wishlist:

1. Set up the embed and blocks on the draft theme as above.
2. Do not enable the draft theme yet; the app only runs on the published theme.
3. When you publish, hard refresh your storefront and confirm the button and header icon appear.

Because the settings are store wide, your colors, texts, and reminders carry over to the new theme with no extra work.

Positioning differences between themes

A preset tuned for your old theme may sit differently on the new one:

• Pick the new theme in the Theme styling preset dropdown of the App Configuration embed so the app applies its positioning defaults for it.
• If the button lands in the wrong spot on the new theme, use the block placement or the manual product button settings described in Install guide.

One wishlist across themes

Shoppers keep the same wishlist whichever published theme is live. The wishlist lives with your store, not with the theme, so publishing a new theme does not reset anyone’s list. See How wishlists persist.
